Alternative Fuel Vehicle Infrastructure

Eligible Projects

Residential alternative fuel infrastructure projects can qualify for tax incentives (credits), including electric vehicle charging stations and compressed natural gas fueling stations.

Eligible tax credits: For alternative fuel vehicle fueling or charging infrastructure, the credit allowed is 25 percent of the eligible cost of the alternative fuel vehicle fueling or charging equipment, not to exceed $750.

Definitions

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fueling or Charging Equipment: Equipment used to recharge or refuel alternative fuel vehicles.

Alternative Fuels: Alternative transportation fuels include electricity, natural gas (LNG and CNG), propane (LPG), methanol, ethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen and other fuels recognized as suitable alternative transportation fuels by the director of the Oregon Department of Energy.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle: Any motor vehicle that runs on fuels other than petroleum-based fuel.
