• The FEMA Emergency Management Institute offers self-paced courses designed for people who have emergency management responsibilities as well as the general public. All are offered free-of-charge to those who qualify for enrollment. See the Independent Study Program (ISP) for more information. Apply for a course and obtain a FEMA Student Identification Number.

• Oregon Basic Applied Practices Series (BAPS)
  
• The Oregon Basic Applied Series (BAPS) consists of several basic knowledge required courses and four (4) elective courses. The intent of the BAPS is to provide training needed by all emergency service providers for successful field operations. Courses in the Professional Development Series (PDS) cannot be used to meet BAPS requirements.
