Resources are being made available every day to help businesses through this challenging time. To connect Oregon contractors to organizations that help businesses, we’ve put together a list of the most relevant and useful resources we’ve encountered so far.

Business Resources

• Business Oregon Small Business Navigator – Links to business planning, general resources and financial assistance.
• Small Business Development Center – SBDCs across the state provide free business counseling and resources. Counseling is available virtually, by phone or video conference.

Workers Comp

Check with your workers compensation provider for resources and information about how your workers comp is affected by COVID-19. Also check with the state’s Worker’s Comp Division for frequently asked questions and answers.

State and Federal Government

• Oregon Legislature – Check here for information about legislation relating to COVID-19.
• The Small Busines Owner's Guide to the CARES Act – The Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act allocates money to businesses and individuals affected by the pandemic.

Financial Resources

• Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Applications – The SBA provides small business loans. Contact the SBA Portland chapter for more information about SBA services.
• Workshare Oregon – Workshare allows employers to leverage unemployment insurance (UI) to subsidize a portion of lost wages for employers whose work time is reduced due to market downturns or other business stressors.
