Renewable Energy Development Grant Rulemaking

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Renewable Energy Development Grants​, or RED grants, supported individuals and organizations that invested in renewable energy systems. Program funds were exhausted in 2019, but some compliance work remains as awarded projects are completed. 

​​​​​​RED Grant Program Rulemaking

​​January 9, 2024: Oregon Department of Energy Files Final Rules
​The Oregon Department of Energy filed final rules​ with the Secretary of State on January 9, 2024. The rulemaking added an exemption to the renewable energy development grant program requirement that construction begin within 12 months of the performance agreement being executed. The rulemaking went into effect January 10, 2024.
