Please be as specific as possible. For example, specify the appeal number, party name, responding local government, and any other information that can help us provide you with information.

A written request to inspect or copy our records can be submitted using the link below:

Public Records Request Online Form

In the alternative, a written request may be submitted in person or by mail to:

LUBA – Public Records Request
775 Summer Street NE, Suite 330
Salem, Oregon 97301

Please be as specific as possible. For example, specify the appeal number, party name, responding local government, and any other information that can help us determine whether we have the records you are seeking.

Calculation of Fees:

State law allows us to charge fees to recover our actual costs for providing public records. For copies or scans of letter-size or legal-size pages, we charge $0.25 per page (a double-sided copy is two pages). For a copy of a compact disc or similar media disc in the record, or a recording of oral argument, we charge $10.00. For staff time, including locating, separating, copying, returning documents to files, and preparing copies for mailing, we charge $25.00 per hour, with the first 30 minutes waived. Normal and reasonable staff time is 30 minutes or less per request.

We will give you an estimate of costs if they will likely be more than $25.00. We will not proceed further with the request until you confirm in writing that you want us to proceed, and until you send payment in advance and the payment clears. We will refund any excess over actual costs. If we underestimated our costs, we will inform you as soon as possible so you can determine whether you want us to continue working to respond to your request.
