FAQ Participant guide

This NCI-AD State of the Workforce Survey is an online survey that collects information about the direct service workforce. Direct service workers (DSWs) are also known as caregivers, CNAs and personal care attendants.

Survey topics include:

  • Wages and benefits
  • Turnover and length of employment
  • Demographics

Provider groups that serve APD consumers and employ DSWs are eligible to participate in the SotW, including:

  • Adult Foster Homes that were licensed by APD for at least six months during 2023
  • Assisted living and residential care facilities (ALFs/RCFs)
  • In-home care agencies that serve APD consumers

Invitations will be emailed to eligible providers in mid-September 2024.

The survey will remain open until November 30.
