Please do not send any mail to this office. All mailed-in transactions should be sent to DMV Headquarters:



This office offers drive test appointments. Drive tests at DMV are given by appointment only. You may schedule a testing (not an issuance) appointment using DM2U, or by calling the office number above. If appointments are full, check back daily for new appointments. You may schedule a drive test using a 3rd Party Tester or at a DMV office.

You must show proof of insurance before a drive test. You can use:
  • A valid insurance card;
  • A current vehicle liability insurance policy or binder; or
  • A DMV Certificate of Self-Insurance showing you as the owner of the vehicle. 
Note: If there is inclement weather, drive tests may be canceled or traction devices may be required. Please confirm your drive test using DMV2U or calling the office number above. DMV offices are closed for Statewide Holidays​.​

Going North/South

  • From north or southbound OR-395/OR-32.
  • The DMV office will be on the west side of OR-395/OR-32 inside the Hermiston (Safeway) Plaza.
Going East
  • From I-84 eastbound, take the Hermiston/Lexington exit (Exit 182).
  • Turn LEFT (north) on Butter Creek Rd (OR-207).
  • Continue north on Butter Creek Rd (OR-207) for several miles.
  • As you approach Hermiston, OR-207 becomes 11th St.
  • Continue north on 11th St into Hermiston.
  • Turn RIGHT (east) on Highland Ave (at traffic light).
  • Continue East on Highland Ave several blocks.
  • Turn RIGHT (south) on OR-395/OR-32.
  • The DMV office will be on the right-hand side of OR-395/OR-32, inside the Hermiston (Safeway) Plaza.
Going West
  • From I-84 westbound, take the Stanfield/Hermiston exit (Exit 188).
  • Turn RIGHT (north) on OR-395/OR-32.
  • Continue north on OR-395/OR-32 for several miles, through Stanfield and then on to Hermiston.
  • The DMV office will be on the left-hand side of OR-395/OR-32 inside the Hermiston (Safeway) Plaza.
