About

This project will provide access, mobility, and safety upgrades to U.S. 20 (Greenwood Avenue) between 3rd Street and 27th Street as well as some additional improvements further east on U.S. 20. This work will include:
  • ​Reconstruction of intersection ramps to meet current ADA standards
  • Improvements to sidewalks and driveways
  • Sign updates at local street intersections
  • Enhanced pedestrian and bicycle crossing at 4th Street
  • Multi-use path from Mt. Washington Drive south to Division Street.
  • Intersection illumination at U.S. 20 at Arnett Way
  • Signal safety improvements at U.S. 20 at 27th Street.
  • Enhanced pedestrian crossing and traffic separator at U.S. 20 between Benson Street and Dalton Street.

U.S. 20 | U.S. 20 Between 3rd Street and 15th Street in Bend.

Cost and Funding

The budget for the project is $6.4 million with construction budget of $4 million. The City of Bend has contributed $1.5 million to design and construction for rehabilitation and construction of sidewalks on Greenwood. ​
