OR 219 Pedestrian Safety Project

​​​​​Construct sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety between Aldercrest Drive and Quail Drive.

None at this time.


Construction Impacts

​This project is estimated to start construction in April 2023.

When construction starts, we anticipate work happening during the daytime. However there may be times when lane closures are needed and that will happen at night. We will also have a 4-5 day period where 24hr flagging will be needed so we can dig a trench across the road.

About

​We are continuing improvements on OR 219 in the City of Newberg to improve pedestrian safety. 

We are:

  • Constructing sidewalks on the west side of OR 219 by replacing the current drainage ditch with sidewalks.

  • Installing​ ADA compliant curb ramps.

  • Improving drainage.

  • Striping bike lanes on both sides of the road.


Schedule

Design: 2020-2022
Construction may begin in early 2023.
