Nighttime Ellsworth Street Bridge closures, flaggers helping direct traffic and delays. 

Construction Impacts

You can expect:

• A nightly closure of Ellsworth Street Bridge from 8 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Friday. 
  
• ​​​Southbound traffic will detour onto Lyon Bridge.​ Use caution – both directions of traffic will share Lyon Bridge. 
• Construction noise and delays.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not. ​

About

​The Ellsworth Street Bridge is a historically significant bridge built in 1925. The overhead beams have been damaged by trucks higher than allowed crossing the bridge. 

This project will develop plans to increase vertical clearance from 14-feet and 11-inches to 16-feet. Increasing the height clearance will reduce the amount of maintenance needed to repair the bridge.
