About the Ombuds Office
The Ombuds Office is impartial and will address concerns for those who are eligible to apply for/and are receiving services from OHCS.
Consider contacting the ombuds office if you have a concern regarding OHCS programs and services
Please be aware that the ombudsperson cannot:
- Take complaints from individuals who are not eligible for and/or have not applied for Oregon Housing and Community Services assistance programs.
- Give legal advice.
- Work with anyone who has an open legal case against OHCS or is in the appeals process.
- Suggest a change be made that goes against the current law at the time of the incident.
- Overturn a decision or court ruling.
If the ombudsperson cannot work with you, they will try to connect you with resources that may help with your situation.
The goal of the ombudsperson is to find a resolution, however, depending on the situation, we cannot guarantee one.
