Becoming Licensed in Oregon

The Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board is responsible for licensing death care professionals and the facilities where they work. This includes Funeral Establishments (also referred to as Funeral Homes), Immediate Disposition Companies, Crematories, Alternative Disposition Companies, and Cemeteries. It also includes Funeral Service Practitioners (also referred to as Funeral Directors), Embalmers, Death Care Consultants, and various apprentices.
