Agency Announcements:

  • OMCB Education and Compliance Manager Pete Burns is leaving our agency and will become the Executive Director of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Examining Board beginning on Wednesday, February 1st.

Here is his parting message: After three and a half years, I will be stepping aside as OMCB's Education & Compliance Program Manager. I will be moving on to serve as the Executive Director for the Oregon Veterinary Medical Examining Board. It has indeed been a privilege to work with OMCB staff, the Board and our dedicated licensees. While this is an exciting new opportunity, it is difficult to move on from OMCB, a vital and dynamic agency. I truly honor our mission to serve Oregonians while supporting this indispensable industry. I would like to thank all industry stakeholders I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. I value the partnership we have developed.

The job opening for the Education & Compliance Program Manager has been posted and can be accessed using this link:

If human remains are going to be kept longer than a ten-day period due to exigent circumstances, it is the responsibility of the licensee responsible for those human remains to notify the Board's office.
