Board Seeks Public Comment on Rulemaking

The Board is currently soliciting public comments on proposed rulemaking addressing examination application and administration processes. See the notice to interested parties for a summary and the notice of rulemaking hearing for the details of the proposed amendments. The amendments are driven by pending changes in the format and administration of the national geology licensure examination, i.e., the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) examination - Fundamentals of Geology and Practice of Geology sections. Some housekeeping amendments are also proposed to improve rule clarity. Public comments can be sumitted at a virtual hearing scheduled for 10/24/2022 at 9:00 AM or in writing to the Board office through 9:30 AM on that same day. Contact the Board office for details on how to attend the virtual hearing or for assistance with any questions about the rulemaking proposal.
