This increase will allow the Board to continue to provide its current level of service and finish the budget cycle with an ending balance equal to 3-4 months operating expenses, which is the target recommended by the Legislature to help avoid budget shortfalls and to ensure that the Board can provide continuity of service to the licensees.
The new fees took effect January 1, 2016 and will apply to all renewals from this date forward. If you already renewed and were charged the old fee, your renewal is complete and you will not have to pay the additional amount. All renewals going forward will pay the increased amount.
Please note:
In an attempt to reduce Board costs & unnecessary waste, the Board & staff are moving toward electronic & digital correspondence whenever possible.  The Board will no longer be providing mailed copies, or renewal notices through the U.S. Postal Service, unless required by law or Board procedural guidelines.   Licensure information is posted on the Web, including your renewal date. Remember your renewal is always due by the end of your birth month.
Please be sure to provide the board with an updated email address.
Thank you for assisting us in our efforts to reduce waste & spending.
