Renewals and Status Change

The NEW BLSW Online Renewal System is ready for business!

Online Renewals

If you are eligible to renew now, please follow this link to the new Licensing system and create you individualized portal.

https://blsw.onlineservice.oregon.gov/webs/blsw/ . Please save this link to your desktop and other electronic devices as you will need it over and over again. This is not only the renewal system, but the new online licensing system which you will use anytime you need to inquire, make changes, or submit documentation to the board.

Here are instructions on  How To Create Your Licensee Portal for your reference.

Please be aware that you will need to enter your email address to start the process. If the system does not recognize your email, you will need to use your alternate email which also received this notice. If the system does not recognize either of your emails, call Tracy or Wende at 503 378-5735 or email at Oregon.blsw@oregon.gov. We are expecting a high call volume, so please make sure you try both emails before calling.  You will have the opportunity to change to your preferred email.

Once you have created the portal, you will be able to renew your license,.  Simply follow the steps. When you have completed the renewal process and paid the renewal fees, the license will be available for you to download and print. We will not send a copy of your renewed license.  Please note, in some cases, the board staff will need to review your renewal before it is approved and available to print.

As a part of the new renewal system you will need to upload your continuing education certificates. You will not be able to complete your renewal without uploading the certificates, so please locate your certificates and have them available as you begin.

Processing of Renewals

The online renewal process and renewal dates have not changed. All renewals will need to be processed in order to pay the renewal fees. YOU WILL NOT HAVE AN INVOICE DUE UNTIL AFTER YOU PROCESS YOUR RENEWAL.  All licensees who are due for continuing education will need to enter and submit all activities prior to completing the renewal. Please see the continuing education page for further updates and changes with continuing education activities.

Status Change Requests

Under the new system, you are allowed to change your status at anytime. Only complete a Status Change Request if it is NOT YOUR RENEWAL time. If it is your Renewal Time, you will change your status within your renewal. Your status change will be referred to board staff for review and you will be provided with conditions of the status change. You may be asked to submit continuing education, additional fees, and in rare cases a supervision plan. Renewal fees are not refundable, so when changing status to a lower feed status, you will not be refunded for the higher amount. For example. If you renew as active and decide to change your status to inactive. You have already paid the active fee, and it is not refundable. Your next renewal will be at the inactive fee.
Your License will be on your portal available to print under the "Wallet and Wall Certificates"  Tab.

Returning to Active or Semi-Retired From Inactive

Request to return to practice by submitting a status change request through your portal. If it is your time of renewal, this may be done with your renewal, you do not need to submit a separate request to change your status.
