Transportation Commission meets in Portland Dec. 18

The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 18 in Conference Rooms A and B of the Oregon Department of Transportation Region 1 Office, 123 NW Flanders, in Portland.
Items on the commission agenda include:
  • Request approval for projects funded through $42 million of discretionary funds to be included in the 2015 – 2018 STIP. Approval into the STIP provides for public review of all projects being proposed;
  • A request to adopt a series of administrative rule changes associated with the ConnectOregon program;
  • An informational presentation about the partnership between the Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division, and ODOT;
  • An informational report about system operations and Intelligent Transportation Systems initiatives in Oregon; and
  • A request for direction to address revenue shortfall to fund Oregon Travel Information Council management and operation of safety rest areas.
Meetings of the OTC are open to the public and time will be available to hear public comments.
