ODOT’s people: New area manager appointed, Highway Division Administrator honored
 
Amy Ramsdell selected as area manager for Linn, Benton, Lincoln counties
Amy Ramsdell, a Linn County native with nearly 16 years of transportation experience, has been selected as the new ODOT Region 2 Area 4 Manager, based in Corvallis.  Ramsdell will fill the position previously held by Vivian Payne, who was promoted to ODOT Region 2 Maintenance and Operations Manager.
 
Ramsdell was born and raised in Lebanon, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics at Willamette University in Salem. Ramsdell joined ODOT in 1997, and has held several positions in ODOT’s Motor Carrier Transportation Division. Most recently, she was a Project Leader in the Area 4 office in Corvallis. She has been interim Area Manager since May, 2012.
 
As manager of Area 4, which encompasses Linn, Benton, Lincoln and part of Polk counties, Ramsdell will work closely with local government agencies, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and Area Commissions on Transportation in planning, development, and delivery of transportation projects.
 
OSU College of Engineering honors ODOT Highway Division Administrator
Paul Mather, ODOT’s Highway Division Administrator, was among the distinguished alumni of the Oregon State University College of Engineering who were recently honored at the 15th annual Oregon Stater Awards.
 
The awards honor outstanding alumni and friends for their contributions to the engineering profession and to Oregon State University. Mather was among those inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers, which is awarded to mid-career Oregon Staters who have sustained distinguished contributions to the profession, field, OSU, or society at large.  Mather has worked for ODOT for 30 years.  He served as ODOT’s Southern Oregon Region Manager and has served as Highway Division Administrator since 2010.
