Facilities

The applicant proposes to construct and operate a solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a peak generating capacity of 75 megawatts. It would be located on about 600 acres of land zoned exclusive farm use. The facility would also have a 2.1-mile, 115-kV gen-tie transmission line as a related and supporting facility that would be located in Gilliam County and would connect the facility to the BPA transmission grid.
Proposed. On August 17, 2016 the Oregon Department of Energy received a Request for Expedited Review for a Small Capacity Facility for the Boardman Solar Energy Facility. On August 26, the Department approved the project for expedited review in accordance with OAR 345-015-0300. The Department received the preliminary Application for Site Certificate on January 13, 2017 and issued a Project Order on May 9, 2017. Review of the preliminary Application for Site Certificate is ongoing.

The facility would be located in Morrow County, except for a 115-kV gen-tie transmission line in Gilliam County.
