Facilities

The certificate holder received approval to construct and operate a 900-megawatt, natural gas-fueled, combined-cycle electric generating plant consisting of two 450-megawatt units (Unit 1 and Unit 2). Unit 1 was fully operational in July 2016. Construction of Unit 2 has not yet begun.
Suspended review/Operating. The certificate holder submitted a request to amend the site certificate in August 2016. In May 2017, the certificate holder requested to suspend review of the amendment request. While the amendment request is still “active” until further notice from the certificate holder, the Department has suspended review and coordination with state and local agencies. If the certificate holder requests to re-initiate review of the amendment request, this webpage will be updated. Also, additional noticing will be issued regarding any changes to the amendment request and next applicable comment period.
