June 17, 2026: Oregon Health Authority names new Oregon State Hospital superintendent

Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Director Sejal Hathi, M.D., MBA, has announced the hiring of Sean Murphy as the new superintendent of Oregon State Hospital (OSH) following a national recruitment effort. Murphy brings to OSH three decades of executive leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare operations, public safety and large-scale government administration.

Jan. 22, 2026: Oregon State Hospital maintains compliance with CMS

After making significant improvements to patient care and safety, Oregon State Hospital is in compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) patient care and safety standards and is no longer at risk of losing eligibility to participate in the CMS reimbursement program.
