Health Equity Researchers of Oregon (HERO)

Health Equity Researchers of Oregon (HERO) is a network of Health Equity researchers across the state, working together to inform policy and community-based efforts to improve health in Oregon for culturally diverse communities, while ensuring that policy agendas and community members inform Oregon's research agenda.

Hosting a HERO Meeting

We are currently seeking hosts that have participated in conducting research with Community Health Workers, Doulas, Peer Support Specialist, Peer Wellness Specialists, and Personal Health Navigators.

Hosts are responsible for providing a meeting space and inviting colleagues to present their research at the gathering. If you are interested, please email Charniece.Tisdale@state.or.us.

HERO Structure

Researchers are invited to present at meetings, which are held quarterly. Presentations will be recorded via webinar and shared with OHA leadership, health systems organizations, CCOs, policy makers and community based organizations.
