Division 50 is the foundation for all building fee methodology requirements. In many cases, various citations include additional details and defining information on what is included or not, and how/when a given fee might apply. This chapter of the Oregon Administrative Rules guides us significantly on consistent forms and fees. ePermitting uses this chapter to perform fee analyses on submitted agency fee updates, to assure that all fees included meet methodology requirements. These same methodologies have been used in ePermitting record configuration – application specifics required to calculate various fees – and for fee automation – the fee scripting in place that calculates building fees. Because Division 50 methodologies are so interwoven into the ePermitting process and functionality, they are a baseline requirement for all participating agency building fees.
