.
Public Records Center
The Oregon Department of Corrections has launched an online system for submitting public records requests, designed to make the process more user-friendly, efficient, and transparent.
As part of this transition, DOC no longer accepts requests through previous email addresses. All requests and communication are now handled through the Public Records Center.
The department responds to requests in accordance with Public Records Law (ORS 192.324). All requests must be submitted in writing and follow OAR 291-037 requirements.
Data, Research & Decision Support (RDDS)
The Office of Data, Research, and Decision Support (RDDS) leads planning, research, and statistical analysis efforts that support the agency’s mission. The team advances data transparency and supports data-driven decision-making to improve correctional practices and outcomes.
RDDS is responsible for:
- Providing accurate information, planning, and statistical analysis for policy decisions
- Serving as a resource for DOC personnel, public research, and data requests
- Developing research models for program evaluation and development
- Creating tools and procedures for data measurement
- Recommending research and evaluation priorities through the Research Committee
