For the last several years, the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) has reduced both the number of adults in custody in Disciplinary Segregation (DS) and their length of stay.
As part of this commitment to reform, DOC established key partnerships to support meaningful change and build a more rehabilitative and transformational correctional system.
The Disciplinary Segregation Dashboard provides public access to data and progress related to Special Housing practices.
In response to the 2023 legislative session, Senate Bill 2345 emphasized the importance of transparency in Disciplinary Segregation practices.
This dashboard showcases progress within Special Housing and allows users to explore and sort data.
The dashboard was developed through collaboration between the Research Unit, Operations Division, and the Office of the Inspector General.
These efforts align with changes to Oregon Administrative Rule 291-105 .
DOC is committed to transparency, education, and continuous improvement in Disciplinary Segregation practices.
