Training standards

All homecare workers, personal support workers and personal care attendants must participate in required training and testing (also called assessment). Home care is a valued profession and training is important to career development and advancement.

  • Training standards are listed in Senate Bill 1534, Section 2.
  • These standards make sure workers have the skills, knowledge and abilities to provide quality in-home services and supports funded by Medicaid or Oregon Project Independence.
  • If you have questions about how the training standards were developed, please contact the OHCC Executive Director.
