Carewell SEIU 503 training

Required training

Senate Bill 1534 was passed in the Oregon Legislature in 2018 and requires all homecare workers, personal support workers and personal care attendants to participate in training and testing, also known as assessment. These requirements set standards to make sure workers have the skills, knowledge and abilities to provide quality in-home services and supports funded by Medicaid or Oregon Project Independence. Being a home care worker, personal support worker or personal care attendant is a valued profession and training is important to career development and advancement.

Listen to the OHCC Connections Podcasts for information on required training.

If you have questions about how the training standards were developed, please contact the OHCC Executive Director
