About

enlarged project map iconWe're partnering with the City of Silverton to look at a section of OR 214, a state highway that runs through the center of town. Our goal is to find practical, community-supported improvements that make it safer and easier for people to walk and roll along and across these roads.

Improvements could include new signs, marked crossings, pedestrian-activated signals and more. We'll also look at bike lanes, intersection safety and other concerns raised by the community and the city.

Why are we doing this work?

We want to identify the improvements that matter most to the community before future road projects are planned, so we're ready to act when opportunities come up. That might mean pairing a curb ramp update with new crosswalk striping and signs, or using grant funding to add a pedestrian-activated signal. By defining these priorities now, we can make the most of limited resources and pursue funding as it becomes available.
