Sidewalk Improvements

Between Lincoln Street and Young Street, there are many locations that don't have sidewalks. People walking or rolling must navigate parking areas, dirt paths and frequent driveways. Where sidewalks are present, they are often narrow or blocked by utility poles and mailboxes.

Check out some photos showing OR 99E in the study area.

We recommend completing the sidewalks on OR 99E between Lincoln Street and Young Street, including ADA improvements to make the route usable for all.

This would create an uninterrupted path that people could use when walking or using wheeled devices like wheelchairs, strollers or skateboards.

Sidewalks would make driveways more clearly marked and visible, which helps keep everyone safer whether they're driving, riding, walking, rolling or using the road in any other way.

It would make it easier for people who use wheelchairs, walkers, scooters or other mobility aids to travel along this corridor.
