About

Photo of work on I-5The section of pavement in this project area is over 30 years old and is mostly concrete. The pavement is starting to rut because of studded tire and chain use.

At bridge transitions, outdated bridge joints used exposed steel beams which create potential safety hazards and a bumpy ride.

We will:

  • Grind the concrete to reduce rutting.

  • Repair the concrete where needed to fix exposed rebar.

  • Repair the bridge transition joints.

Schedule

The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021.
