The crew is installing erosion control measures and saw cutting the pavement in preparation for installation of new storm sewer features.
Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available and identified through or around work zones.
Currently, the stretch of South Water Street between Johna and Fenne Lane lacks sidewalks and does not meet American for Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The project will constuct sidewalks on the northeast side of the road and they will be built to ADA standards.
The cost estimate for this project is $2.2 million.
