About

We are partnering with Florence to create a more scenic look for the community.

The project will update ADA pedestrian routes along U.S. 101 and improve the overall safety of pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists who travel through the area.

The project includes:

  • U.S. 101 –south from the U.S. 101/OR 126 Junction to the Siuslaw River Bridge and OR 126 –east from the U.S. 101/OR 126 Junction to Spruce Street. 
  • New features such as ADA ramps, colored concrete plazas, art plinths, street lighting, underground overhead utilities, bike lanes, parking spaces along U.S. 101, and landscaping and irrigation improvements.
  • U.S. 101 will be paved from the U.S. 101/OR 126 Junction south to the Siuslaw River Bridge.
