Improves the roadway surface on this former Jackson County Road by upgrading the pavement and associated striping and signs. Updates the 1953-era Whetstone Creek Bridge with new protective surface and updated bridge rails.
What Problem Will This
The pavement and roadway striping on this section of highway is in poor condition, especially at during rain/fog at night.
Roadway striping and markers for visibility will be updated due to the poor visibility on the highway, especially at night and during rain/fog. Shoulder and center line rumble strips for safety will be installed.
