ODOT began work in August 2020 to repair the bridge over the Tualatin River on Oregon 99W northbound, between Tigard and Tualatin. This work includes replacing the bridge joints and installing new concrete surfaces and will last through the end of the year. These repairs will improve the condition and maintain the long-term safety and use of this heavily traveled highway.

Why is This Work Needed?
The bridge is constructed in segments, connected by concrete to concrete joints with joint seals. Over time, the road surface has worn down and begun to crack. It is now in need of repairs. Crews are replacing the joints and the road surface, extending the life of the bridge for 20 to 30 years.
