About
We were in construction from August 2020 to Nov. 2020 to repair the bridge over the Tualatin River on Oregon 99W northbound, between Tigard and Tualatin. This work included replacing the bridge joints and installing new concrete surfaces. These repairs improved the condition and maintained the long-term safety and use of this heavily traveled highway.

Why was this work needed?
The bridge is constructed in segments, connected by concrete to concrete joints with joint seals. Over time, the road surface had worn down and begun to crack. Crews replaced the joints and the road surface, extending the life of the bridge for 20 to 30 years.
