This project will repair or replace 24 culverts on U.S. 97 from north of Madras to Midland, south of Klamath Falls.
Culverts along this corridor have been identified as in critical or poor condition, and have a high potential of failure during a flooding or heavy stormwater event. Failure of these culverts would pose a significant safety risk to the traveling public and potentially close the highway.
Repairing and replacing these culverts will improve drainage and reduce the possibility of standing water on the highway.
