About
The pavement condition for this section of U.S. 395 is the worst on the route and one of the worst on the entire state system. This section is experiencing severe fatigue cracking, rutting and deterioration.
This project is a companion to the recently completed adjacent project to the south. Both projects together will have addressed roughly 60 miles of poor and very poor pavements.
Project components include grinding out full depth of existing pavement and laying new asphalt. The goal of this project is to provide a smooth, long lasting section of highway in this remote part of Oregon, and reduce ongoing maintenance needs.
