About

This section of U.S. 30 in Rainier is a major tourist route from Portland to various beach towns year-round. It is also an important route for freight trucks. The highway is damaged and needs repairs.

To preserve and improve the road, we plan to:

  • Remove and grind down the existing surface.
  • Rebuild and install new pavement.
  • Apply permanent striping and reflective markers.
  • Install a concrete barrier along the center of some sections of the road.

This will help reduce maintenance costs, give road users a smoother ride and improve accessibility for all.
