About

view the enlarged project mapThis project is in downtown Corvallis where three highways meet. It's a busy business and residential area that has significant bike and pedestrian activity. We'll be making improvements to benefit all users whether they drive, ride, walk or roll.

We're improving safety by:

  • Replacing the traffic signals and repaving small sections of road at two intersections:

    • Harrison Boulevard and NW 2nd Street.

    • Harrison Boulevard and NW 3rd Street.

  • Upgrading the existing ADA curb ramps.

  • Bring the curb of the northeast corner to street level and install a mountable concrete surface. This mountable surface is called a truck apron that makes it easier for large trucks to turn onto NW 3rd Street. We'll also install a bike lane separator at this intersection.

  • Bring the curb of the northwest corner to street level and install a mountable concrete surface. This mountable surface is called a truck apron that makes it easier for large trucks to turn onto NW 4th Street. We'll also install a bike lane separator at this intersection.

  • Making bicycle and pedestrian improvements on Tyler Avenue at NW 2nd and NW 3rd Streets to support the bicycle corridor.

    • Installing a mountable median separator at NW 2nd Street and Tyler Avenue that restricts vehicle movement.

    • Curb ramp extensions at NW 3rd Street and Tyler Avenue to slow traffic down and provide a shorter distance to cross the road.
