Impacts

Traffic Impact

Overnight work will begin May 31.

  • ​Work will occur Sunday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. through the end of August. 
  • Traffic will be reduced to a single lane and will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot vehicle.
  • Expect delays of up to 20 minutes in both directions.

Milepost 18.8 to 27.4 between the cities for Grass Valley and Moro.

Benefits

This project will improve conditions and safety for everyone who travels on U.S. 97 by:
  • ​Resurfacing the roadway
  • Installing center line and shoulder rumble strips
  • Upgrading guardrail ends to meet current safety standards 

What Problem Will This Improve?

​​Pavement conditions on U.S. 97 between Moro and Grass Valley are deteriorating and in need of repair.
