Construction Impacts
This project area, located north of Grants Pass, involves 10 miles of I-5 and ramps at four interchanges. The project will repair pavement along the I-5 travel lanes and ramps, replace bridge joints, remove roadside hazards and install guardrail. Construction is scheduled for completion this fall.
From Sept. 8 to Oct. 2, drivers should expect intermittent nighttime I-5 ramp closures in the work zone. In general, only one ramp will be closed at any given time. Drivers should watch for message boards and take alternate routes. Ramp closures will occur at the following locations:
- I-5 Exit 58 (North Grants Pass) northbound on-ramp and southbound off-ramp.
- I-5 Exit 61 (Merlin/Louse Creek) all ramps.
- I-5 Exit 66 (Hugo/Jumpoff Joe Creek) all ramps.
There may be additional ramp closures in the project area. The construction schedule is subject to change for adverse weather conditions.
