OR 164: Jefferson (Santiam River) Bridge

We strengthened and repaved the bridge to improve safety and provide a smoother ride.

view enlarged project map We built the Santiam River Bridge in 1933. This bridge is essential for local traffic and acts as a bypass during closures on I-5.

As part of repairing and strengthening the bridge, we:

Removed the existing pavement from the bridge surface.
Repaved and applied new striping.
Strengthened the arch beams and the supports under the driving surface.
Repaired damaged concrete.
