About

This project will improve safety for travelers and allow maintenance crews to efficiently use time and resources.

Real-time road and weather condition information is helpful during winter when hazardous conditions can affect motorists. This project will install equipment, including cameras, that will capture conditions. This information will be displayed on highway signs and TripCheck.com. Public will have real-time travel information and be able to make informed decisions before they encounter hazards.
Maintenance crews will be able to determine where to focus their attention without having to drive to check conditions. This is particularly efficient for remote locations, saving crew time and effort.
