Construction crews will be working on ADA curb ramps from Munsel Lake Rd to OR126. The project will be split into 2 phases. The first phase starting in January 2021 will focus on constructing new ADA ramps at 20 different existing street corners and the second phase will build the remaining 82 other locations, starting in July 2021.

What to expect during construction:
  • There will be noise and dust during work hours.
  • Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones.
  • Only one corner of each intersection will be closed at a time.
  • Work may occur at multiple intersections at the same time.
  • Nighttime work and lane closures will be needed between Memorial Day and Labor Day otherwise daytime work will be allowed.

Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work-zones.

Inspector on SidewalkWe are committed to providing the best accessibility possible to all people using the transportation system.  One of the ways we are doing this is by bringing curb ramps along our highways up to current ADA accessibility guidelines. We’re also exploring ways to design and construct these ramps more efficiently.

This project will rebuild approximately 102 existing street corners, including flashing beacon crossings, along U.S. 101 in Florence from 10th Street to Munsel Lake Road.

Design: 2020
