OR 86: Guardrail Upgrades Final Phase

Construction Phase

We are finishing the replacement of substandard guardrail on OR 86 to improve safety.

No traffic impacts at this time.

Work on this project has been paused for the winter.
The project will resume in spring 2026.
Schedule is tentative and subject to change.

OR 86 (Baker-Copperfield Highway) has a significant quantity of obsolete roadside barriers, including half-moon guardrail with concrete posts.

This project will finish upgrading the roadside barrier along the entire corridor.

Mileposts 34 to 71; approximately 7 miles west of Richland to Copperfield.

The project is estimated to cost $4.5 million through construction.
