OR 34: Guardrail Upgrades

Region 2: Willamette Valley and Northwest Oregon (Various Cities, Benton, Lincoln)


​​​​​​We're making the area safer by removing and replacing outdated guardrail.

Traffic Impact

Expect single lane closures with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.

Construction Impacts

You can expect:

  • Crews working Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Single lane and shoulder closures as needed.
  • Flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
  • Construction noise and delays.​

Construction Activities

We're installing guardrail along OR 34 starting near Waldport and working our way east.

​Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones. ​

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers. 

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not. ​

For this project, we are:

  • Upgrading the guardrail along OR 34. 

  • Installing new guardrail at bridge ends where it is missing.  

​Guardrail helps prevent drivers from entering dangerous areas. It helps keep everyone safe by providing a clear visual guide for where drivers should and should not travel.
