Redmond/Prineville Curb Ramps

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Design and construct curb ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA) standards on state highways at various locations in Redmond and Prineville.​

Week of 5/8-5/15:

PRINEVILLE: No work expected this week.

REDMOND: Night work is scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to minimize traffic impacts. Nearby residents should expect nighttime construction noise.

  • ​Crews will be constructing curb ramps at the intersections of NE King Way and Canal Boulevard, NW Quince Avenue and Canal Boulevard, and at the Canal Street/U.S. 97 interchange. 
  • The Canal Street / U.S. 97 interchange ramps will be closed nightly, Sunday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., with signed detours in place. Minor delays are expected. 
  • Drivers should also expect nighttime single-lane closures on U.S. 97 in both directions at Highland/Glacier and Evergreen Avenue. Work will occur from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Minor delays are expected on the highway.

About

This project is part of our strategy to improve accessibility by correcting non-ADA compliant curb rampsProjectArea_Map.jpg and signalized intersections on state highway segments in the communities of Redmond and Prineville. 

In Redmond, the project will improve ramps at the following locations:  

  • ​OR126 (McKenzie Highway) from the signalized intersection of southwest Highland Avenue at Southwest 27th street to the signalized intersection of southwest Glacier Avenue at U.S. 97.
  • U.S. 97 from southwest Evergreen Avenue to southwest Highland Avenue

  • U.S. 97 at North Canal Boulevard Interchange (Exit 119) from the signalized intersection of North Canal Boulevard at Northeast King Way to the intersection of Northwest 6th Street at Northwest Quince Avenue.

In Prineville, the project will improve ramps at the following locations:
  • ​U.S. 26 (Ochoco Highway) from the intersection of Northeast​ 3rd Street (U.S. 26) to the intersection of East 3rd Street (U.S. 26) at Northeast Stearns Drive.
  • OR 380 (Paulina Highway) from the intersection of Northeast Combs Flat Road at Northeast Mason Drive to the intersection of Northeast Combs Flat Road at Southeast 2nd Street.
