About

This location has had a high number of crashes and fatalities. Due to the volume of traffic in this area, installing a roundabout is the safest option.

According to the Federal Highway Administration, roundabouts are safer than traditional intersections. Locations with roundabouts see fewer fatalities, injuries and crashes. Other benefits include lower maintenance costs and increased fuel efficiency.

We're designing a roundabout at the intersection of OR 126 and Huston Road to make the area safer.

We received a $30 million grant for OR 126 safety improvements. The grant was awarded on 1/10/2024. An agreement has not been signed and funds have not been obligated. Learn more information and check in on the status by visiting our Federal Executive Actions webpage.
