We plan to start construction in 2026.

Visit TripCheck for the most current traffic information.

Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones.

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

About

A wrong way driving crash is when a vehicle travels in the opposite direction of traffic. High speeds and the likelihood of head-on crashes makes these more severe.

We're looking at how people access the interchange and upgrading the exit ramps to help reduce the number of wrong way drivers and crashes.

These safety upgrades include:

  • Increasing the number of signs.
  • Installing bigger and more reflective signs.
  • Repainting the reflective road striping.

By having fewer wrong way drivers, it will improve safety and reduce delays on I-5 and OR 569.

We're planning to build and will have a better idea about the construction schedule and cost as we get further into design.
