We're creating a smoother ride on OR 6 between mileposts 4 and 9.

Traffic Impact

None at this time. We plan to start construction in spring 2026.

Construction Impacts

When construction starts, you can expect:

Lane closures with flaggers directing traffic.
Construction noise and delays.

Construction Activities

None at this time.

Visit TripCheck for the most current traffic information.

Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work!

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

About

Enlarged Project Area Map The existing pavement on OR 6 between milepost 4.4 and milepost 9 is old, damaged and in need of repair. The driving surface is rough with cracks and potholes.

We're planning to:

Grind down and remove the driving surface.
Repave.
Apply permanent striping and replace deteriorated signs in the project area.
Work on two of the bridges in the project area:

At milepost 5.78 | replace the seal between the joints.
At milepost 6.9 | repave the driving surface with asphalt, install a waterproof layer and replace the seal between the joints.
