U.S. 20 and NE Harney Street/SE Moore Drive Intersection Improvements

Construction Impacts

When construction starts, you can expect:

  • Lane and shoulder closures.
  • Sidewalk closures with pedestrian detours.
  • ​Construction noise and delays.

Construction Activities

​​None at this time. We plan to start construction in 2026.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

​enlarged project map iconThis intersection has outdated traffic signals that need to be replaced. Local residents and school bus drivers have let us know that it's difficult to make a left turn safely when there's a lot of traffic and pedestrians at this intersection. 

This project will:

  • Install new traffic signals and poles.

  • Upgrade the traffic signal technology.

  • Add a left turn lane to NE Harney Street.

  • Install curb ramps that meet current ADA standards.

  • Improve the drainage at the intersection.

  • Apply new permanent striping. 

We're planning to build and will have a better idea about construction schedule and cost as we get further along in design.
