Tower Road Interchange Bridge over I-84

We will repair the bridge surface and add approach slabs. We will also repair bridge retaining walls, and pave and rebuild Tower Road approaches that connect the road to the bridge.

Traffic Impact

No impacts at this time. Construction is scheduled to begin spring 2026.

Construction Impacts

During construction, the bridge will be closed for up to four weeks. We will have a detour route for westbound traffic during the closure. Love's Truck Stop will remain accessible for eastbound traffic and via this detour.

About

The road bridge approaches and bridge decks need repairs and upgrades due to an increase in truck traffic. Deck seal is losing its effectiveness, allowing moisture to penetrate the surface and reducing its lifespan. Bridge rail does not meet current height and capacity standards.

I-84 |

Tower Road over I-84, Exit 159, 5 miles west of Boardman.

Cost and Funding

This project is estimated to cost $3 million to $3.45 million.
